Francesco has been awarded an ERC Starting Grant from the European Research Council for the project ActivEAR: Watts in my ear? Unravelling the power source of mammalian hearing, which sets out to identify the cellular mechanisms behind the cochlea's active process, the source of power for mammalian hearing.
